Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MetaOriental website and services operated by MetaOriental ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Platform

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. By using this platform you represent that you meet this requirement.

You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without written permission.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
Impersonate another person or entity.
Use the platform to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@metaoriental.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We support sign-in via email and password, and via Google OAuth. If you sign in via Google, your account is linked to your Google credentials — you do not have a separate MetaOriental password.

3. Orders and Purchases

When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the product at the listed price. We accept your offer by sending an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch — for example, if a product becomes unavailable or if we detect fraudulent activity — and will issue a full refund in that case.

Prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible for import duties, customs charges, or local taxes that may apply when a product is delivered to your country.

All purchases are final once dispatched unless you are exercising your right to return under our return policy.

4. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate. However, manufacturers may update products without notice. Minor variations between what is shown and what is delivered (such as packaging design) do not constitute a defect.

Products marked external are listed for informational purposes and link to third-party storefronts. We are not a party to transactions on those storefronts and have no liability for them.

5. Group Buys

Group buy campaigns are collective pre-orders. Your participation constitutes an offer to purchase at the stated price, contingent on the campaign reaching its minimum threshold within the campaign window. You are charged only when the threshold is met. If the threshold is not reached, your offer lapses and you are not charged.

Once a group buy is confirmed, standard order and refund terms apply. Cancellation of a confirmed group buy is not guaranteed.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this platform — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of MetaOriental or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this platform without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MetaOriental and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this platform or from any products purchased through it. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform and all content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
